Multistage Activation Barriers in the Chiral Metallosupramolecular Polymerization of Alkynylplatinum(II) Complexes 


Chiral terpyridine-based alkynylplatinum(II) complexes undergo a multistep kinetic process that ultimately yields a thermodynamically stable product. According to the F–W two-step model, the final stage—characterized by a substantially high activation energy—serves as the rate-determining step, thereby governing the overall kinetics of the supramolecular polymerization pathway.
