All-Atomic Computational Perspectives for Understanding Morphable Electric Double Layers: A Review (Small 47/2025)
In article number 2503931, Byeonghwa Goh and Joonmyung Choi review a computational perspective on the dynamics of electric double layers (EDLs) for designing energy devices. This review highlights mechanically tunable EDL systems where deformation changes ion distribution, interfacial area, or capacitance in interfaces. Theoretical, microstructural, and multiscale bridging methods are presented that link atomic behaviour with macroscale performance.
